Water in central heating system is contaminated with rust, sludge and other debris because of internal corrosion. The Power Flushing process

We use a low pressure, high velocity, high volume, dedicated Kamco CF90 power flushing pump with a magnetic power flushing filter which reduces recirculation of iron oxide through the boiler. It also increases efficiency by reducing water consumption and time to flush the system. With the addition of the combiheat that enhances the performance of the power flushing chemicals we remove those stubborn adhesive deposits that a normal flush cannot remove.

The chemicals used to cleanse or descale your system will be chosen to suit your individual system requirements. The flushing pump has an instantaneous flow reversal feature to aid the process. Your system will be cleansed internally, methodically and thoroughly, pipe by pipe, radiator by radiator, including the boiler.

Once your whole system has been cleansed thoroughly we refill with clean water. On completion we will add corrosion inhibitor to your system which will protect it from inevitable decay as system metals trend back to their natural state. Balance the radiators for optimal system efficiency and check the results with the increase in temperature on your radiators with our laser thermometer.

How long does it take?

This depends on the type of system you have and the number of radiators but we can usually complete the process in one day.

Will Power Flushing damage my system?

Power Flushing will not actively damage your system. Nor will it repair internal corrosion, electrical or mechanical faults to the system.

New Boiler Warning

Boiler manufacturers insist that old heating system be thoroughly flushed before installing a new boiler and if not performed most manufacturer warranties will usually be cancelled.

If you purchase a new boiler or new central heating radiators you should power flush because whilst your new boiler is in pristine condition it will soon be contaminated by sludge, rust and debris which are in your old heating system causing components failure or affecting performance of the system.

High efficiency modern boilers have very narrow passageways in the heat exchanger and are very sensitive to rust, sludge, scale and other debris which can cause blockage.
Only by power flushing can you be sure that a system is clean to the standards demanded by modern boilers and heat exchangers.

A Power Flush needs to be performed by trained engineers and there will be no mess or complicated installations. All our engineers are trained to the highest standard.

Powerflushing will only cure corrosion related problems. It will not solve any problems arising from faulty components, design or installation faults.
