If you already use our services, you’ll know that we swear by our water fed pole system by Reach & Wash for window cleaning. If you don’t already use our services, you may have seen the system used as it fast becomes the most popular method for window cleaning contractors.
However, we’re often asked why we use this over just a simple bucket, sponge, and squeegee set up. So, here’s why we think the Reach & Wash is the superior set up for cleaning windows.

Achieves the best results
We’ll start with the most important; apart from the obvious extension in reach, the Reach & Wash’s real strength is that it has a constant feed of fresh water that is fed into the end of the brush. This is opposed to the traditional method where, despite constant reapplication of water, water which is spoiled by the dirty window is still used to clean it. As a bonus, the Reach & Wash window cleaning system cleans the frames at the same time as the windows.
Eco-friendly
Rather than the usual mix of water and cleaning solution, the Reach & Wash system does not use any detergents. It only uses purified deionised water. Less chemicals = a happier planet!
Window glass stays cleaner for longer
As we mentioned above, water for the Reach & Wash goes through a filter, leaving it deionised. If you cast your mind back to your GCSE science lessons that means it has no static charge. Left for a short time the water runs away and leaves windows streak free.
Health and Safety benefits
Much of the time, windows are in difficult to reach positions which leads to potential risks for operatives using ladders.
Our Reach & Wash window cleaning system can extend up to 45 feet, so unless we’re contracted to clean the The Shard, Reach & Wash will cover most jobs!
Reduced risk of damage to property
Accidents can happen and it’s not unusual for ladders to damage guttering or disturb the surrounding landscape. However, with Reach & Wash that’s no longer an issue so it’s another weight lifted from the client’s mind.
