Cleaner/Driver Job Description

Job Summary

A Cleaner/Driver is responsible for safely driving to and from sites and maintaining the cleanliness of the common parts of the building in which they work by performing various cleaning duties. A cleaner may be responsible for any or all of the following tasks. Tasks may also change throughout a cleaner’s employment.

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS & DUTIES

A Cleaner/Driver is responsible to undertake the cleaning duties on the specification of works.

Note: this is not an all-inclusive list. Additional duties may be required/assigned dependant on the site’s needs.

Tasks include; Sweeping, Vacuuming, Mopping, Spot Cleaning Stains, Dusting, Polishing, Brass/Stainless Steel Cleaning, Glass Cleaning, Removing Marks, Cleaning of bin stores

WAGES

Above national living wage.

HOURS

7am – 4pm Monday – Friday with a one hour lunch

EXPECTATIONS

·         Timekeeping-Report to work each day and be on time (Work to the team hours rules)

·         Professional Image-Wear uniform, be clean and tidy (Deodorant, clean shaven, ironed uniform) Maintain the appropriate conduct (no smoking/use of mobile phones/taking breaks on sites)

·         Company Vehicle-Clean the company vehicle inside and outside each week. On a daily basis ensure the general cleanliness (no coffee cup/ rubbish on view) Undertake general safety checks (report any Issues to Management) Drive safely (Abide by the speed limit and parking restrictions)

·         Customer Service- Provides excellent level of customer service to both residents/Clients/All fellow Employees/Management (Always being polite and friendly)

·         Health & Safety- Abide by the company’s health and safety policies and procedures as required (when using cleaning chemicals, reporting incidents etc)

·         Quality Check Work- Check that work is to a high standard (Ask yourself; would I be happy if I lived in this building, with the standard of Cleaning?)

·         Feedback-Ensure that all issues are reported back on your worksheets (Carpet Cleaning required, light units not working, Items stored in the Common Parts etc)
